well bejesus, what can i say, everything that you hear of this place is right and then some. Seems that everyone is out for a quick buck, not suprising when u think they have nothing compared to us.
had my first authentic curry last night, dosent seem to be too painfull yet, a four dish meal was only 40 rupees, (i think my local curry house has been ripping me off!). Rickshaws in delhi are bonkers, i think they want to kill each other!!! Off to the Taj Mahal today, do my diana pose and then flying down to Goa on Sunday to live in a hut and act like a hippy.

Good luck in Agra (town of the Taj Mahal) - we had a terrible time there - like you say everyone is out for a quick buck. Scam after scam after scam everyone in the travel industry in Delhi and Agra disgusted me so much that we flew to Udaipur and hid out in the beautiful countryside at a hotel where we were treated like honoured guests instead of money trees. Sadly many people we met had similar stories to tell regarding the scams that were attempted. People who didn't work in the tourism industry were nice, and I even have am Indian penpal now.
